Autumn, a time of dark colours, warm shades and neutral layering, right? Wrong!!! This Autumn the colour to be seen is yellow, well actually not yellow...Oak Buff according to the colour gods over at Pantone. We love how Pantone has described this shade as, ‘a mellow, comforting and warming shade that brings good feelings’. Comforting? Warming? Good Feelings? And all at a time when the days grow shorter and the tempetures drop? We are sold!! For those of you who have a tear in your eye saying goodbye to summer, incorporating this colour into your wardrobe allows you to keep the golden memories of the sunny season alive.
We've compiled together some pictures of style icons who have been mastering this colour before it was christened Oak Buff and still just a shade of yellow.
Keep Warm
Not brave enough to throw yourself in and dress in this colour? Take a look at how Alexa Chung has kept to her own personal style and just adding an oak buff coloured scarf to compliment her camel coat, an A/W staple. We love how Alexa stays true to herself but is always on trend! Or are you a risk taker, a girl who spots a trend and jumps straight in! Well then take inspiration from Derek Lam, invest in an oak buff coat and WORK it!!

Golden Hues
Oak buff is gorgeous complimented with golden hues. Whether it's gold costume jewellery layered on, a chunky gold knit or metallic gold loafers, whatever your style, in terms of the metallics, gold is the way to go. We love this look from the Etro Autumn/Winter 2015 catwalk.
